Three-time Tony Award nominee Marin Mazzie is joining the cast of Lucy Prebble's Enron, playing the fictional character of VP Claudia Roe. The acclaimed London transfer will start performances at the Broadhurst Theatre on April 8, 2010.
Mazzie's many Broadway credits include Tony-nominated performances in Kiss Me, Kate, Ragtime and Passion. She has also appeared on Broadway in Man of La Mancha, Into the Woods, Big River and Spamalot. Her off-Broadway credits include The Vagina Monologues, The Trojan Women and And the World Goes 'Round. Last summer, she played Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire at Barrington Stage Company.
A multimedia theatrical event based on the famous financial scandal, Enron also stars Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz as company CFO Jeffrey Skilling, Gregory Itzin as Kenneth Lay and Stephen Kunken as Andy Fastow. Richtor Doyle, Ian Kahn, January LaVoy, Madisyn Shipman, Mary Stewart Sullivan and Noah Weisberg round out the cast. Rupert Goold directs.
Enron is set to open on April 27, 2010.
