Recording artist Nicole Scherzinger will round out the cast of Rent in the role of Maureen when the Neil Patrick Harris-directed musical plays Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl August 6-8.
Scherzinger is best known as the lead singer of the popular girl group The Pussycat Dolls, whose hit singles include “Don’t Cha”, “When I Grow Up”, “I Hate This Part Right Here” and “Buttons.” She was recently named the winner of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, alongside professional partner Derek Hough.
As previously announced, Rent will also star Aaron Tveit as Roger, Skylar Astin as Mark, Vanessa Hudgens as Mimi, Wayne Brady as Collins, Tracie Thoms as Joanne, Telly Leung as Angel and original Broadway cast member Gwen Stewart as the “Seasons of Love” soloist.
Additionally the show's ensemble will include Yassmin Alers, Eric B. Anthony, King Aswad, Susan Beaubian, David Burtka, Kathy Deitch, Sam Given, Rachael Harris, Tricia Kelly, Ethan Le Phong, Kristolyn Lloyd, Zarah Mahler, Laura Mixon, Jason Paige, MiRi Park and Brandon Wardell.
