London’s Les Miserables nearly turned into a rock concert when pop star Nick Jonas made his West End stage debut in the long-running musical on June 21. Jonas is no stranger to Les Miserables, having played little Gavroche in the Broadway production in 2003 (he also appeared in Annie Get Your Gun and Beauty and the Beast). All grown up, Jonas will now play a limited three week engagement as Marius, the passionate student who sings the stirring “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables.” (With Jonas now in the cast, you can bet there won't be any empty chairs in the Queen's Theatre!) The Les Miserables cast was thrilled to welcome Jonas to their family on his opening night, and of course his famous brothers were on hand to cheer him on. Take a look!
