Patti LuPone Provides a Prologue For Her Upcoming Memoir

Theater fans are counting down the days until two-time Tony winner and all-out Broadway legend Patti LuPone releases her self-titled memoir on September 14. Luckily the divine diva (whose headlined smash Broadway shows such as Evita and Gypsy) is offering a sneak peek at what to expect when the book hit shelves thanks to this new video from her publisher. "I think my fans know I'm a straightforward speaker," Lupone hints while participating in an elegant photo shoot. The video also features some great vintage shots from LuPone's extensive career...and the big-voiced singer even begins to tear up when she recalls how working on a flop musical can be a heartbreaking experience...so sweet!
