The list of musical numbers to be performed during this year's Broadway on Broadway concert has been announced. The annual concert will take place at 11:30am on September 12 in Times Square and is hosted by Tony-nominated La Cage aux Folles star Kelsey Grammer. Alex Lacamoire will serve as musical director. Aside from performances from new and long-running Broadway musicals, the concert will close with a special performance from former In The Heights co-stars Lin Manuel Miranda and Karen Olivo singing the hit Jay-Z song "Empire State of Mind."
The performance list is as follows: "Death is Just Around the Corner" from The Addams Family, "St. Jimmy" from American Idiot, "Expressing Yourself" from Billy Elliot, "We Both Reached for the Gun" from Chicago, "There is a Santa Claus" from Elf, "Zombie" from Fela!, "When You're Home" from In the Heights, "We Are What We Are" from La Cage aux Folles, "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" from The Lion King, "Dancing Queen" from Mamma Mia!, "Steal Your Rock 'n Roll" from Memphis, "Medley" from Million Dollar Quartet, "I Miss the Mountains" from Next to Normal, "All I Ask Of You" from The Phantom of the Opera, "I Say a Little Prayer" from Priscilla Queen of the Desert, "Where Can You Take a Girl" from Promises, Promises, "Hey Jude" from Rain, "Wanted (Dead or Alive)" from Rock of Ages, "Jet Song" from West Side Story and "The Wizard and I" from Wicked.
The Broadway on Broadway crowd stretches from an entrance at 43rd Street and Broadway north to 47th Street. The event is jointly produced by the Broadway League and the Times Square Alliance.
