Soap Star Anthony Geary Will Head Into the Woods in Los Angeles

Iconic soap star Anthony Geary, best known as General Hospital's Luke Spencer, will star as the Narrator and Mysterious Man in Lucid By Proxy's production of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods in Los Angeles. The production will run from October 22 through November 20 at Big Art Labs at Smashlabs Warehouse. Calvin Remsberg will direct.

Geary received six Daytime Emmys for his work on General Hospital. Other TV credits include Roseanne, Starsky and Hutch, Port Charles and Murder, She Wrote.

The cast will also feature David Pevsner as the Baker, Valerie Rachelle as the Baker's Wife, Jennifer Malenk as Cinderella, Shannon Nelson as Little Red Riding Hood, Michael Uribes as Jack, Jessica Pennington as Witch, Pamela Hamill as Jack's Mom, Nancy Gassner-Clayton as Stepmother, Jessi Withers as Florinda, Sarah Orr as Lucinda, Johnny Cannizzaro as Milky White, Jayson Kraid as Father, AnnaLisa Erickson as Mom/Grandmother/Giant, James Paul Xavier as Steward, David Nett as Cinderella's Prince/Wolf, Josie Yount as Rapunzel, Zachary Ford as Rapunzel's Prince, Sarah J. Stuckey as Sleeping Beauty and Cariss Ro Gatti as Snow White.

Featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Lapine, Into the Woods originally opened on Broadway on November 5, 1987 at the Martin Beck Theatre. The show ran for 765 performances and received 10 Tony nominations including Best Musical.
