Playwright Adam Bock has won acclaim for dark comedies including The Receptionist, Swimming in the Shallows and The Thugs, so it’s no surprise that Playwrights Horizons’ production of his latest play, A Small Fire, attracted Tony winner Michele Pawk, Obie winner Reed Birney, Tony nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger and talented newcomer Victor Williams. Without giving too much away, we can say that it’s a play about the limits of love and what happens when catastrophe strikes a family on the eve of the daughter’s wedding. Take a look at Joan Marcus’ gallery of production photos, then get tickets to the off-Broadway premiere of this thought-provoking Fire.
