Sierra Boggess, who is currently making her West End debut as Christine in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom sequel Love Never Dies, is in talks to star in a Stephen Mears-helmed production of She Loves Me at the Chichester Festival Theatre, according to the U.K.'s Daily Mail.
She Loves Me is a musical adaptation of Parfumerie by Hungarian playwright Miklos Laszlo, which also served as the inspiration for the films The Shop Around the Corner and You’ve Got Mail. Perfume shop employees Georg and Amalia are constantly at odds with each other at work, unaware that each is the other's secret pen pal met through lonely-hearts ads. The musical, which features music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick and a book by Joe Masteroff, debuted on Broadway in 1963 under the direction of Harold Prince.
Boggess has previously starred as Ariel in Broadway's The Little Mermaid and as Christine in the Las Vegas production of Phantom of the Opera.
