Megan McGinnis, Josh Grisetti and Daniel Beaty are among the winners of the 2010 Los Angeles Stage Alliance Ovation Awards, which were announced in a January 17 ceremony at Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. Broadway alum McGinnis took home top honors for her role in the two-actor musical Daddy Long Legs and Grisetti won for his role in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, while Beaty took the Lead Actor in a Play category for his solo show Through the Night.
L.A.’s Geffen Playhouse and Fountain Theatre were the evening’s biggest winners, taking home five awards each. The annual Ovations, which honor achievements in California theater, classify awards according to the size of eligible theaters.
