With Will Smith considering bringing Annie back to the big screen in a remake starring his daughter, Willow, Broadway.com asked readers who they'd like to see take on the iconic role of Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks. The results are in, and stage and screen superstar Hugh Jackman landed at the top spot. Jackman, who received a Tony Award in 2004 for his portrayal of Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz, earned 22% of votes.
Second place went to movie musical veteran John Travolta. The actor, who starred as Danny Zuko in 1978's Grease and as Edna Turnblad in 2007's Hairspray, took in 16% of votes.
Third place resulted in a tie between screen comedians Jamie Foxx and Jim Carrey. Foxx (who has film musical experience thanks to 2006's Dreamgirls) and Carrey (who can currently be seen in the indie comedy I Love You Phillip Morris) both pulled in 13% of votes.
