Winners have been named for The Critics' Circle Theatre Awards 2010 in London. Bruce Norris' Clybourne Park, which was first seen last year at off-Broadway's Playwrights Horizons, earned the distinction of Best New Play for its production at the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs at the Royal Court. Matilda, A Musical took home the Peter Hepple Award for Best Musical (New or Revival). Based on the popular Roald Dahl novel of the same name, the Royal Shakespeare Company's production played at the Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
Other winners inlcuded Jenny Jules and David Suchet in the acting categories for their respective performances in Ruined and All My Sons. Michael Grandage (King Lear) and Thea Sharrock (After the Dance) shared the Best Director Award. A full list of winners is below.
