Catch Broadway Vets J. Robert Spencer and Jeffrey Schecter in Farm Girl in New York on DVD

Farm Girl in New York, an independent film starring Broadway vets J. Robert Spencer and Jeffrey Schecter, with Joshua Wade and Alison Munn, is now available on DVD. Spencer, who directed Farm Girl, also co-wrote the film with Schecter and Wade.

Sam (Schecter) and Matt (Wade) flee their small Midwestern town for New York City, where after months of trying to pick up ladies and failing miserably, they come up with the idea to hold a fake audition to meet chicks. Dozens of sexy, talentless babes show up and compete for a job that doesn’t exist, but when an out-of-town farm girl shows up for the audition they are instantly smitten.

Spencer's Broadway credits include Side Show, Jersey Boys and Next to Normal, for which he earned a Tony Award nomination. Schecter’s Broadway credits include Wonderful Town, The Pajama Game and A Chorus Line. Munn has appeared on hit TV series One Tree Hill and What I Like About You, and her film credits include White Oleander and Elizabethtown. Wade has been seen in such short films as Miracle of Phil and Couples Therapy.
