OK, Gleeks, we know Lea Michele's Rachel Berry has an obsession with Barbra Streisand, but when it comes to a good old-fashioned diva-off, Michele's character turns to her go-to Broadway idol, Idina Menzel. (We won't even get into the meta-insanity of Idina's role as Rachel's birth mother on the show.) A previous diva-off (with the always-awesome Chris Colfer) featured Menzel's signature Wicked number "Defying Gravity." This time, Glee has Michele channeling Menzel in a showdown with performing powerhouse Amber Riley as Mercedes Jones for Rent's lesbian anthem "Take Me or Leave Me." (The show veered away from the lesbianism and omitted the musical's memorable lead-in line, "There are always going to be women in rubber flirting with me!") Take a look at the clip below to see two of the biggest voices on Glee blasting each other in one of Broadway's beltiest duets.
