Theater-savvy viewers tuning in to the 2011 Academy Awards expected co-host Anne Hathaway to sing at some point in the telecast. After all, she's a musical theater vet herself (of Carnival at Encores!) and memorably dueted with Hugh Jackman at the 2009 Oscars. Halfway through the show on February 27, Hathaway put her pipes to use in a comedic bit set to "On My Own" from Les Miserables. This time, she was lamenting Jackman's absence from the stage, claiming that the star "stuck his fake retractable claws into my heart." (Seated in the front row, Jackman laughed.) Click on for excerpts from the number, including James Franco's inexplicable appearance at the end as Marilyn Monroe.
