Prolific playwright and actor David Greenspan began the season with featured roles in Orlando, and now he’s heading the cast in the world premiere of his own play, Go Back to Where You Are, at Playwrights Horizons. Greenspan and director Leigh Silverman have attracted a cast of theater vets (including Tony nominee Stephen Bogardus and Obie winners Lisa Banes, Tim Hopper and Mary Shultz) to what’s described as “a melancholy comic romance.” The intriguing plotline finds Greenspan playing a forgotten chorus boy from Ancient Greece who’s transported to modern-day Montauk on a mission from God. On March 1, three weeks before the start of previews, the company of Go Back to Where You Are gathered for photos at Playwright Horizons. Take a look!
