If you’ve been waiting for a Glee CD featuring Darren Criss’ star-making performance of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream,” you won’t find it on the fifth compilation soundtrack of the hit show, being released on March 8. Instead, Criss and his all-male glee club, the Warblers, will get their very own CD to be released in April, according to EW.com.
No track listing for the Warblers’ CD has been released, but the group’s performances of “Hey, Soul Sister,” “Bills, Bills, Bills” and “When I Get You Alone” will presumably be included. The March 8 episode of Glee will include the Warblers' rendition of Neon Trees’ “Animal” featuring Criss and Golden Globe winner Chris Colfer. Arrangements and background vocals are provided by the Beelzebubs, a real-life all-male a cappella group from Tufts University.
Rent fans will want to check out the newly released Glee compilation CD, which includes Lea Michele and Amber Riley’s duet of “Take Me or Leave Me.”
