The songs of Frank Loesser are delighting Broadway audiences anew in the current revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Now the composer’s very first score, Where’s Charley?, is on tap for the final production in New York City Center’s Encores! series. This 1948 musical adaptation of the classic farce Charley’s Aunt mixes romance, comic hijinks and multiple cases of mistaken identity. On March 9, the cast previewed two numbers from John Doyle’s production, “Lovelier Than Ever” and “The New Ashmolean Marching Society.” Click on to see Sebastian Arcelus, Rebecca Luker and Howard McGillin in action, then head to City Center March 17-21 to see them live.
