The current London revival of Mike Leigh's Ecstasy will transfer to the Duchess Theatre for a limited engagement beginning April 12, running through May 28. The show is currently playing at the Hampstead Theatre.
Ecstasy follows a group of longtime friends who come together in the time shortly before Margaret Thatcher took office as Prime Minister and completely transformed England. The play originally premiered at the Hampstead Theatre in 1979.
The production stars Sinead Matthews, Sian Brooke, Daniel Coonan, Claire-Louise Cordwell, Allen Leech and Craig Parkinson. Ecstasy features production design by Alison Citty, lighting design by Paul Pyant and sound design by John Leonard.
