Jonathan Groff Headed Back for Glee's End-of-Season Episodes

Tony nominee Jonathan Groff is headed back to McKinley High for the final three episodes of Glee’s second season, according to TVLine.com. Groff will reprise his role as Jesse St. James, lead singer of rival glee club Vocal Adrenaline and former boyfriend of Rachel Berry, played by Groff’s real-life best friend and former Spring Awakening co-star, Lea Michele.

Groff’s return to Glee comes after the actor’s recent move to Los Angeles. He spent fall 2010 starring on the London stage in Deathtrap and will soon be seen in The Conspirator, Robert Redford’s feature film about the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.

Since Jesse's departure at the end of last season, Rachel's love life has been less than blissful on Glee. Will their romance be re-kindled at nationals—and, if so, will Jesse prove to be trustworthy this time around? New episodes of the hit series are set to air on Fox beginning April 13.
