Tim Curry and Ralph Fiennes will lead upcoming productions of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead and The Tempest respectively at London's Theatre Royal Haymarket.
Curry will star as The Player in Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead alongside Samuel Barnett as Rosencrantz and Jamie Parker as Guildenstern. Trevor Nunn will direct the production which runs June 16 through August 20. Opening night is set for June 21.
The cast also features Chris Andrew Mellon, Michael Benz, Fiona Gillies, Tom Goldin, Charles Hamblett, Jack Hawkins, Andrew Jarvis, Katherine Press, James Simmons, Trevor Allan Davies, Tomm Coles, Jody Elin Machin, Zac Fox, Elisabeth Hopper, Greg Last, James Northcote and Stephen Pallister. The production features set design by Simon Higlett, costumes by Fotini Dimou, lighting by Tim Mitchell, sound desing by Paul Groothuis and music by Steven Edis.
The show will play a three week run at the Chichester Festival Theatre before beginning performances at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
Fiennes will play Prospero in The Tempest beginning August 27. The production, which is also directed by Trevor Nunn, will begin performances August 27. Opening night is set for September 6 and the show will run through October 29. Further casting will be announced at a later date.
