Glee star Matthew Morrison will launch a national concert tour this summer in support of his self-titled Mercury Records debut solo album. The tour will hit cities including New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, San Diego, Los Angeles and more. Morrison is also giving regional glee clubs the chance to compete for a spot on the tour as his opening act.
Morrison is best known as Mr. Schuester on TV's Glee. His Broadway credits include South Pacific, Hairspray and a Tony-nominated performance in The Light in the Piazza.
Morrison recently released "Summer Rain," the first single from his album, which is due for release May 10. (Pre-sale is available on April 4 at www.matthewmorrison.com.) He plans to team with the comedy website Funny Or Die to create original video content that will be featured during concert performances.
