Broadway came down from its Easter high, with half as many musicals topping $1 million (five) as the previous week. Though the majority of shows dipped at the box office, newcomer The Book of Mormon continued to show strength alongside powerhouse hits The Lion King and Wicked, both of which earned more than $1.7 million. Newcomers Sister Act and War Horse gained upwards of $100,000 from the week before, a good sign for the future health of both shows.
