Catch Megan Hilty Channel Marilyn Monroe Alongside Debra Messing in Trailer of New TV Show Smash

Broadway is hitting the airwaves as NBC recently picked up the Great White Way-themed new series Smash. Starring Debra Messing and Angelica Huston alongside Broadway regulars Megan Hilty, Brian d'Arcy James and Christian Borle, as well as American Idol veteran Katharine McPhee, the Steven Spielberg-produced show follows a composing team (Messing and Borle) who set out to create an original musical about the life of Marilyn Monroe. Hilty and McPhee play two actresses hoping to land the role of the iconic star. While Smash won't begin its run until mid-season, NBC has released a brand new trailer as well as several clips to build buzz. Click below to take a sneak peek at Smash.
