Few shows saw a drastic change at the box office this week as long-running hits Wicked, The Lion King and red hot newcomer The Book of Mormon claimed the top three spots. After a three week hiatus to rework the show, Spider-Man, Turn off the Dark swung back into the Foxwoods Theatre. Five preview performances were enough to earn the musical a healthy $809,941. Meanwhile, Broadway said farewell to Wonderland which played to 78.8% capacity during its final week at the Marquis Theatre. The musical may have had a shorter than expected run, but some good came from the early closing: star Darren Ritchie proposed to leading lady Janet Dacal at the final perfomance!
