Tony Award winner John Gallagher Jr. and Tony nominee Thomas Sadoski are the latest Broadway veterans to join the cast of Aaron Sorkin's previously announced HBO pilot, More As This Story Develops, according to Deadline.com. The Social Network's Josh Pence has also signed on to the starry project.
Story follows cable news anchor Will McCallister (Jeff Daniels) and his staff, led by executive producer Mackenzie (Emily Mortimer). Gallagher will play Jim, one of Mackenzie's co-workers who follows the producer to McCallister's show after her own series is cancelled. Gallagher's character will develop a crush on McCallister's associate producer Maggie (Alison Pill.) Pence will play Rob, a senior producer who has been dating Maggie for several months. Sadoski will play McCallister's former producer who left the show to work on a project launched by his protege.
Gallagher received a Tony Award for Spring Awakening and currently stars in Jerusalem. His other Broadway credits include American Idiot and Rabbit Hole. Sadoski can currently be seen in The House of Blue Leaves and co-starred in the off-Broadway premiere of Other Desert Cities. His Broadway credits include Reckless and a Tony-nominated performance in Reasons to be Pretty.
