Alan Rickman will star in the world premiere of Theresa Rebeck's Seminar on Broadway this fall. The production, directed by Sam Gold, will play a a yet-to-be-determined Shubert theater. No exact dates or additional casting has been announced.
In Seminar, four young writers are excited to participate in a private seminar taught by literary icon Leonard (Rickman). Tensions arise during the seminar when Leonard deems certain students more promising than others.
Rickman received Tony Award nominations for Private Lives and Les Liaisons Dangereuses. His many film and TV credits include the Harry Potter series, Sweeney Todd, Die Hard, Galaxy Quest, Bottle Shock, Michael Collins, Sense and Sensibility, Something the Lord Made, Rasputin and Dogma.
Seminar is being produced by Jeffrey Finn and Jill Furman.
