As the summer season enters its final month, Broadway grosses remained steady, with the order of the frontrunners in both lists remaining the same as in the previous several weeks. The top five musicals all remained comfortably above $1 million, and six shows did capacity business. Although Follies showed up on the underdog list, don't be fooled: Its number represents a single preview, and that show played to almost 97% of capacity at the Marquis Theatre.
