A two-disc album of the upcoming 25th anniversary celebration of The Phantom of the Opera at London's Albert Hall will be recorded and released in November. The full production, which is directed by Laurence Conner and will star original Love Never Dies co-stars Ramin Karimloo as the Phantom and Sierra Boggess as Christine, will take place October 1-2.
In addition to the album, the production will screen in movie theaters nationwide live on October 2, with rebroadcasts on October 5, 6 and 11. A DVD of the broadcast will be released on November 14 as well.
Also set to participate in the production are Barry James as Monsieur Firmin, Gareth Snoook as Monsieur André, Liz Robertson a Madame Giry, and Wynne Evans and Piangi.
In honor of the record-breaking musical's quarter century mark, the Royal Albert Hall will be transformed by designer Matt Kinley, inspired by Maria Björnson’s original design, with lighting by Patrick Woodroffe and Andrew Bridge and sound by Mick Potter. The original London production was directed by Harold Prince.
