How big a hit is The Book of Mormon? The show manages to keep breaking records at the 1,068-seat Eugene O’Neill Theatre, one of the smallest houses on Broadway. To be precise, Mormon has shattered the house record 17 times, including the week of October 2, when it raked in $1,310,226. Newcomer Follies also remained a member of the $1 million club at the much larger Marquis Theatre. Meanwhile, the January 8, 2012, closing date of Billy Elliot was signaled by the musical’s appearance in the underdog list for capacity at just over 78%.
