TV star Kirstie Alley may be headed to Broadway as the lead in The Fabulous Lies of Hollywood Whores, produced by 'NSYNC alum Lance Bass, according to The New York Times. No official announcement has been made about the play, but it is rumored to be coming to Broadway in the spring of 2012.
The eight-character ensemble production, written by Ben Deagle, is set in the most exclusive department store in Los Angeles. Alley would reportedly play the toughest bitch in town, The Pimp, who uses the department store as a cover for her real business.
Whores would be Alley’s Broadway debut. She is well-known for her Emmy-winning role on the hit sitcom Cheers and her starring role in the Look Who’s Talking film series. Other screen credits include Deconstructing Harry, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Veronica’s Closet and Fat Actress; she was also a competitor in the twelfth season of Dancing With the Stars.
Jamie Kennedy, Beverley Mitchell and Matt Seifnia will produce alongside Bass.
