Aaron Tveit, who was chased by the FBI on Broadway in Catch Me If You Can, is moving to the right side of the law: The popular young actor has been tapped for one of two leading roles in an as-yet untitled USA Network pilot, according to Deadline.com. The hour-long drama, centering on agents from federal and local law-enforcement agencies, is the latest project from White Collar creator Jeff Eastin. No other casting has been announced.
The USA series will star Tveit as Mike Warren, an inexperienced FBI agent who moves into an undercover house in Southern California to work with agents from the DEA, LAPD and others.
In addition to playing con man Frank Abagnale Jr. in Catch Me If You Can, Tveit has appeared on Broadway in Next to Normal, Wicked and Hairspray. He played the recurring role of Trip van der Bilt on TV's Gossip Girl and has appeared in the movies Ghost Town, Howl and the forthcoming Premium Rush.
