Broadway star Christopher Sieber married longtime partner Kevin Burrows at 7:33pm on Thanksgiving Day in New York City, according to his Facebook page. The Tony nominee is currently playing Albin in the national tour of La Cage aux Folles opposite George Hamilton.
In a July 2011 Broadway.com interview, Sieber talked about gay marriage and the possibility of marrying Burrows. “We’ve already committed to each other,” he said. “We have rings, but you know, hey, let’s get some benefits!”
Sieber was nominated for Tony Awards for his performances in the Broadway musical comedies Spamalot and Shrek. Other New York credits include Triumph of Love, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Into the Woods, The Kid and La Cage aux Folles.
Burrows appeared on Broadway in Beauty and the Beast, Hello, Dolly! and The Full Monty and was featured in the national tour of Spamalot.
