What a difference a year makes for Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark: The show that many people considered D.O.A. when it began previews last November (!) raked in more than $2 million at the box office during a smashing Thanksgiving week. Perennial winners Wicked and The Lion King also grossed more than $2 million, with the Disney tuner and the remaining box office frontrunners (The Book of Mormon and Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway) setting new records at their respective theaters. Five additional shows broke the $1 million mark, which would normally be more than enough to place them in the top five. If only every week could be Thanksgiving on Broadway!
