Tony winner Liev Schreiber has been tapped to play the title character in the new Showtime pilot Ray Donovan, according to EW.com. Production is set to begin in early 2012.
Schreiber earned a Tony Award for Glengarry Glen Ross as well as additional nominations for A View From the Bridge and Talk Radio. He has also appeared on Broadway in Betrayal and In the Summer House. Schreiber's many film and TV credits include Salt, Taking Woodstock, Defiance, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Love in the Time of Cholera, The Painted Veil, Scream, CSI, Lackawanna Blues and The Omen.
Set in Los Angeles, the series will follow a professional “fixer” for the rich and famous. Ann Biderman and Mark Cord serve as executive producers.
