Tony winner Alan Cumming married commercial illustrator Grant Shaffer for a second time, according to Cumming's Twitter page. The couple, who originally exchanged vows in London, made it official in New York City on January 7 in honor of their anniversary.
“On the 5th anniversary of our wedding in London, Grant and I tied the knot again in NYC!” the Cabaret alum tweeted. The politically minded actor also added a jab at presidential candidate Rick Santorum, who is opposed to gay marriage, by adding the hashtag "eatmericksantorum." The couple celebrated at the Soho Grand Hotel.
Cumming and Shaffer were first married at the Old Royal Naval College Greenwich on January 7, 2007, after dating for two years. The couple resides in New York.
Alan Cumming won a Tony for Cabaret, and has also appeared on Broadway in The Threepenny Opera and Design For Living. His film and TV credits include X-Men 2, Spy Kids and The L Word. He is currenty a series regular on The Good Wife.
