No wonder no one can rain on Rachel Berry's parade. The pint-sized Glee diva, played by Lea Michele, has Tony winner Idina Menzel for a mom and Broadway veterans Brian Stokes Mitchell and Jeff Goldblum for dads. On February 14, Gleeks will finally meet Rachel’s gay fathers according to TVline.com. Brian Stokes Mitchell and Jeff Goldblum will play LeRoy and Hiram Berry on the show’s Valentine’s Day episode, entitled “Heart.” The two actors are expected to sing on the show.
Mitchell won a Tony Award for his role in the revival of Kiss Me, Kate and received nominations for playing Coalhouse Walker in Ragtime and Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha. His other Broadway credits include Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Kiss of the Spider Woman and Jelly’s Last Jam. Goldblum most recently appeared on Broadway in Martin McDonagh’s The Pillowman. His other Broadway credits include The Play What I Wrote, The Moony Shapiro Songbook and Two Gentlemen of Verona. Goldblum is primarily known for his TV and film work, including Jurassic Park, The Big Chill, Independence Day, Will & Grace and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
