Broadway musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert, television smash Glee and its reality spinoff The Glee Project, and off-Broadway plays by Tony Kushner and Stephen Karam are among the nominees for the 23nd annual GLAAD Media Awards, which were announced on January 19. The awards, presented by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives. The GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies will be held in New York on March 24 at the Marriott Marquis; in Los Angeles on April 21 at the Westin Bonaventure; and in San Francisco on June 2 at San Francisco Marriott Marquis.
