Idina Menzel Live: Barefoot at the Symphony to Be Released on DVD and CD in March

Idina Menzel Live: Barefoot at the Symphony, a solo concert special filmed in Toronto in November 2011, will be released on CD and DVD on March 6, according to Menzel’s official website. The Tony winner’s concert previously aired on Chicago’s PBS affiliate WTTW in January, where Menzel appeared live in the studio to chat about the show.

Barefoot at the Symphony is scheduled to air on PBS affiliates throughout the United States starting March 3. The Wicked alum’s CD will feature additional songs that are not available on the PBS broadcast.

In addition to Menzel, Barefoot at the Symphony features composer and conductor Marvin Hamlisch, the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, and Menzel’s husband and former Rent co-star, Taye Diggs. This is the Glee star's first live solo recording.
