Most Broadway shows saw their numbers drop during the week leading up to the Super Bowl. The Tony-winning musical The Book of Mormon, however continued its success streak by not only breaking the record at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre for the 27th time, but also surpassed long-running hits Wicked and The Lion King to claim the top box office spot for the first time during its nearly year long run. Porgy and Bess continued to see strong numbers as well by landing in the top five for both grosses and capacity.
