Megan Hilty made her Broadway debut as Glinda in Wicked and went on to play the equally blonde Doralee Rhodes (the role made famous by Dolly Parton) in 9 to 5: The Musical. These days you can catch Hilty every Monday night on NBC’s Smash as Ivy Lynn, an actress embodying iconic blonde bombshell Marilyn Monroe for a new Broadway musical. Hilty stopped by Show People to dish with host Paul Wontorek about her character’s ambition, getting “hit on” by Nick Jonas, her dreamy day playing the daughter of Bernadette Peters and the nightmare of filming “terrifying” nude scenes on set. The ever-candid Hilty also revealed why she would never sing a Whitney Houston song, her “cliché” love of Marilyn and what she asks herself several times a day.
