Weekend Poll Top Three: Mad Men Fans Want Don Draper and More to Move From Madison Avenue to Broadway

It’s great to have AMC’s acclaimed '60s drama Mad Men back on TV! Leading up to the return of Don Draper & co., Broadway.com asked readers which Mad Men actor they would most like to see on Broadway. The results are in, and three of the series’ sexiest stars were among readers’ picks. Take a look at the results below!

1. Jon Hamm – 35%
Jon Hamm may have earned four Emmy nominations and won a Golden Globe for his breakout role as Don Draper in Mad Men, but Hamm began his career in theater. Hamm honed his acting skills throughout high school and college, at the University of Missouri, where he starred in productions of Joe Turner's Come and Gone and Assassins. 


2. Christina Hendricks – 21%
Emmy nominee Christina Hendricks, who plays sexy office manager Joan, is no stranger to the stage. Though, she's yet to appear on the Great White Way, Hendricks won over audiences and critics during the New York Philharmonic’s staged presentation of Company in 2011. As the sweet but absent-minded flight attendant April, Hendricks shared the stage with a slew of stars including Neil Patrick Harris and Patti LuPone.


3. John Slattery – 8%
John Slattery, who earned four Emmy nominations for his role as silver fox Roger Sterling, has gone head to head on Broadway with leading ladies ranging from Cynthia Nixon (Rabbit Hole) to Juliette Binoche (Betrayal.) Off-Broadway, Slattery received a Drama Desk nomination for his work opposite Patricia Clarkson and Bradley Whitford in MTC’s Three Days of Rain.
