Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin Goes Backstage to Meet the Stars of Porgy and Bess

Aretha Franklin is the latest famous face to take in Diane Paulus’ Broadway revival of Porgy and Bess. The Queen of Soul headed down to Catfish Row on March 28 with her fiancé Willie Wilkerson to hear that classic Gershwin score. After the curtain came down, Franklin, Wilkerson Civil Rights activist Julian Bond went backstage to meet Audra McDonald, Norm Lewis, David Alan Grier and the cast.
