Broadway hunk Cheyenne Jackson last appeared on the Great White Way in the fall of 2009, leading the Tony-nominated revival of Finian’s Rainbow as Woody Mahoney. Since then he has appeared in a slew of hit TV series including 30 Rock, Glee and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Broadway.com caught up with the actor to find out if he has any plans to return to the Main Stem in the near future.
“I’d love to come back to Broadway,” Jackson told Broadway.com “There is a play that I have my eye on that we’ve been workshopping. I don’t think we are supposed to [say what show is] yet. It would be fun if it was in a play too.”
Should the project come to fruition, this would make Jackson's first Broadway play. Jackson's non-musical stage credits include the benefit readings of 8 and The Normal Heart, as well as Nicky Silver’s The Agony and the Agony off-Broadway. His Broadway credits include All Shook Up, Finian's Rainbow, Aida, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Xanadu. Jackson is currently planning to release a solo album with Sony Records.
