All aboard! On a journey to discover the Neverland you never knew, Christian Borle, Adam Chanler-Berat and Celia Keenan-Bolger are moving full steam ahead in the whimsical play Peter and the Starcatcher. This prequel to Peter Pan features a company of 12 actors portraying some 50 characters who embark on a voyage retelling the tale of how a miserable orphan came to be The Boy Who Never Grew Up. Broadway.com resident artist Justin ‘Squigs’ Robertson recently flew inside the Brooks Atkinson Theatre to see the action live, then captured Borle as Black Stache, Keenan-Bolger as Molly and Chanler-Berat as Boy in fancy fairytale form. Take a look at Squigs' portrait of this ship-shape adventure (including co-stars Rick Holmes, Arnie Burton, Greg Hildreth, Isaiah Johnson, Matt D'Amico, Kevin Del Aguila, Carson Elrod, David Rossmer and Teddy Bergman), then head to the theater to see it live!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home. Click to e-mail Squigs. Photo by Matthew Murphy
