6 Characters in Search of a Director, a new play from writer/director Steven Berkoff will play the West End's Charing Cross Theatre. Performances begin May 16, with opening night set for May 23. The limited enagement is schedule to run through June 23. The cast includes Neil Stuke, Philip Voss, Andree Bernard, Sarah Chamberlain, Ruth Everett and Paul Trussell.
Inspired by Berkoff's experiences playing villians in films including Beverly Hills Cop, Rambo and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, the play follows six actors waiting for their director to bring their characters to life. Berkoff has directed and appeared in numerous stage productions and written original stage plays including East, Decadence, The Secret Love Life Of Ophelia, Brighton Beach Scumbags and Acapulco.
The production will feature set and costume design by Nigel Hook and lighting design by Mike Robertson.
