Get ready to catch the spirit as Raúl Esparza, Jessica Phillips and Kendra Kassebaum get jumping in the gospel-tinged new musical Leap of Faith at the St. James Theatre. Featuring a rousing score by Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater and a book by Janus Cercone, Leap of Faith tells the story of Jonas Nightingale (Esparza). The part-time reverend and full-time con artist quickly pitches a tent and invites the locals to a revival when his traveling ministry breaks down in a small Kansas town.
