Nominations for the 78th annual Drama League Awards have been announced. The awards ceremony will take place May 18 at the Marriot Marquis, hosted by Stockard Channing and John Larroquette. The Drama League Awards recognize distinguished productions, performances and exemplary career achievements in musical theatre and directing. As previously announced the Drama League's 2012 Distinguished Contributions and Achievements in Theatre honors will go to Alan Menken, Diane Paulus and Rosie O’Donnell. The Drama League Awards eligibility committee recently determined that productions transferring from off-Broadway to Broadway, or vice versa, in successive years are now eligible for consideration in both seasons. One winner is selected for the Distinguished Performer Award. Recipients can only receive the award once during his or her career. A full list of nominations is below.
