On April 24, Matthew Broderick, Kelli O’Hara and the cast of Nice Work If You Can Get It put on their dancing shoes and took their official opening night bows on the Great White Way. The new musical features a book by Joe DiPietro and a score of toe-tapping George and Ira Gershwin classics, including “Fascinating Rhythm” and “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off.” Directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall, Nice Work is the lighthearted story of Jimmy Winter (Broderick), a well-to-do playboy who falls for tough-as-nails bootlegger Billie Bendix on the weekend of his nuptials. After the show, Broderick, O’Hara and the cast were joined by family, friends, and stary guests at the Marriott Marquis for a glamorous after party.
