Blair Underwood is currently taking audiences on a ride in the New Orleans-set production A Streetcar Named Desire. On a recent trip to The Wendy Williams Show, the actor opened up about the added pressure of recreating a classic for his Broadway debut. “Yeah, you know it’s Marlon Brando. He’s one of the greatest actors of all time,” Underwood said of the play's original star. "So yeah there is that pressure if I allow it to weigh on me. People ask about the ghost, not just of Marlon Brando, but that whole production of A Streetcar Named Desire of 1947. My feeling is the ghost can be in the room you just don’t have to be haunted by it.” One thing that does haunt Underwood: cheeseburgers! The actor also chatted about keeping his body tight despite an “addiction to White Castle.” Click below to watch the juicy conversation unfold, then catch Underwood live at the Broadhurst Theatre.
