Daphne Rubin-Vega is keeping things classy backstage while she stars in a classic on stage. The popular actress and Rent icon is currently playing Stella in an A-list revival of Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire, opposite Blair Underwood, Nicole Ari Parker and Wood Harris. In her dressing room at the Broadhurst Theatre, Rubin-Vega let us in on the five things that keep her sane. Given her love of this challenging material, it’s no surprise that Rubin-Vega’s prized possession is her gorgeous leather-bound script. This Broadway favorite also surrounds herself with photos, from a sepia-toned cast portrait to old family snaps and a picture of “my boys,” her son Luca and husband Tommy Costanzo—who also happens to be the sender of her dressing room’s beautiful flowers!
